HOK designed the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka's headquarters, completed in December 2017 and clad in local limestone quarried in Onaga, Kansas, with a protective overhanging roof shading its glazing. The building reduced energy use by 65 percent against a conventional baseline and earned LEED Gold certification.

A full-height Bendheim channel glass wall screens the lobby's open switchback stair and elevator core, diffusing daylight from the exterior curtain wall into a soft, translucent backdrop behind the wood-clad reception desk.
