University of Iowa Wrestling Building

Neumann Monson designed the Goschke Family Wrestling Training Center, a 38,000-square-foot, $31 million facility funded entirely through donor gifts to the Carver Circle campaign. It gave the University of Iowa's storied men's and women's wrestling programs a dedicated home, anchored by the Bob and Kathy Nicolls Wrestling Room, whose 30-foot ceilings hold nearly twice the practice space of the team's former room. The building opened in May 2024.

A private underground tunnel connects the training center directly to the competition floor at neighboring Carver-Hawkeye Arena, a nod to the tunnel linking ancient Rome's Ludus Magnus gladiator school to the Colosseum. Lindner expanded metal mesh lines the tunnel's ceiling and walls, the perforated surface diffusing light along its full curved length, and the same material continues into the building's above-grade corridors to carry the material through from arena to practice room.
